I love food. I’m a scientist at heart, graduating from Hood College, a women’s college on the East Coast, with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry in 2001. I always knew I wanted a career in the health realm, and after learning the intricacies of the reactions happening every millisecond in our bodies and working for several years in a DNA-centered lab it only made sense to continue my studies in the field of nutrition. I went on to obtain a Master’s in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in 2005 with subsequent board certification as a CCN via the Clinical Nutrition Certification Board (CNCB). This strong background in science has helped me to separate food fact from fiction when teaching clients how to take care of their bodies by choosing foods that promote health.
I started my nutritional practice in Iowa and in the Summer of 2009 relocated my business to Hawaii. I work with nutritional clients nationwide, teach corporate wellness programs, and also produce educational materials for several nutrition and food-related companies.
